Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer position is responsible for architectural contribution, design, implementation, test, deployment and support of software componentry residing within an embedded diagnostic ultrasound device. This role with involve technical leadership and collaboration with software and hardware engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow established standards for software design methodologies, coding, and documentation.
* Contribute to schedules and requirements gathering for software projects.
* Translate detailed requirements to executable software implementation based on established architectures and design plans.
* Test software implementation and lead peer review discussion on detailed design.
* Contribute to project test plan generation.
* Participate in the test plan execution and test report generation.
* Participate in hardware/software or human factors/software integration activities.
Job Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 6+ years of demonstrable experience in software development and systems integration.
* Experience with Windows CE/Mobile and DICOM and clinical enterprise environments (IHE, HL7).
* Experience with Web Services (ex: XML) a plus.
* Strong capability with programming in C++ a must.
* Experience with Graphical User Interfaces, Human Computer Interaction and Silverlight (embedded) a significant plus.
* Experience in dealing with confidential and proprietary information and recognizes the importance of patient privacy and security preferred.
* Good written and oral communication skills a must.
* Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.
