SALES MANAGER MIDWEST REGION â€" MEDICAL EXTRUSION TECHNOLOGY

Natvar, a Tekni-Plex, Inc. company is a global leader in tubing extrusion technology for the medical and industrials markets.

Position Summary
Position will understand extrusion capabilities and have a detailed understanding of plastics that can be used to develop new opportunities. Will target customers/markets where extruded plastics can be used to reduce cost or bring an advantage to that market. Travel within the Midwest region to maintain and gain accounts.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities
*Responsible for understanding full scope of customer's business, developing multiple relationships within customer and the company.
*Create multi-functional teams from both companies to address cost reduction initiatives and develop new business opportunities to eliminate competitive situations.
*Working with customer's technical/engineering group to develop new products within company's capabilities.
*Developing new business for Natvar, by working with prospective customers, solving customer complaints and issues, preparing customer sales budgets/forecasts and coordinating sales related activities within company to drive in new business.
*Negotiating contracts, pricing decisions, quoting and marketing initiatives

Job Requirements

Experience and Education Requirements
*5-7 years experience in a senior sales and/or engineering position
*3-5 years experience/ knowledge of the plastic industry market and plastic materials
*Must have 3-5 years technical knowledge of extrusion plastic process and plastic material properties.
*Knowledgeable of business management principles involved in strategic planning and developing pricing and marketing strategy and tactics.
*Able to travel 50% of the time.
*Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field, preferred.
*Knowledge of medical device applications / design helpful but not required
