**Commercial Project Manager (CPM) & Contract Manager**

**Located in major offices of Siemens Infrastructure -Buildings Northeast Zone (Morristown, NJ, Philadelphia, PA)**

**The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) & ContractManager position is hybrid and occasional travel is required.**

The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) & Contract Manager
will be responsible for commercial aspects related to assigned projects – from
the sales phase through execution to project completion.

**CPM responsibilities** encompass proposal
management, project performance measurement, planning, forecasting, and
reporting. The CPM partners with Sales and the Project Manager during the
project life cycle and interacts with Customers, Suppliers, Engineering,
Procurement, Legal, other Commercial Project Managers, regional and national
Finance colleagues, internal and external Auditors and other internal and
external stakeholders.

**Contract Manager responsibilities** encompass the
support of (Commercial) Project Managers in contractual matters throughout the
SI Buildings organization in the US, partnering with the Commercial Project
Management Office and the Project Advocacy team to improve contract management capabilities,
resources and processes.

**Responsibilities** :

**Manageprojects throughout the Project Life Cycle**

+ Overseethe bid preparation and approval process (Limits of Authority), review,evaluate and negotiate contractual terms with support of Legal department,evaluate risks and ensure conformance during project execution

+ Empoweryourself as commercial project entrepreneur during the project executionphase from order intake, through design, delivery, installation andcommissioning to warranty phase

+ Partnerwith the Project Manager in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risksand opportunities, and developing strategies and response activities toavoid margin slippage

+ Prepareand present commercial topics in internal and external project meetingsand escalate critical issues when necessary

+ Managecustomer requirements and stakeholder expectations with the ProjectManager

+ Secureproject target by enforcing stringent contract and claim management

+ Ensurecompliance with standards, rules, and regulations, fostering a culture oftrust and integrity (e.g. financial reporting guidelines acc. to IFRS andUS GAAP, tax regulations, business conduct, signature rights, exportcontrol, EHS, ICFR/RIC etc.)

**ManageProject Finances & Planning**

+ Partnerwith the Project Manager to manage financial results, focusing on projectgross profit, cash flow and minimizing non-conformance costs

+ Performannual budgeting, monthly forecasting & cost control, cash flowreconciliation, and deviation analysis. Ensure accuracy of project booksand records in SAP

+ Ensuretimely invoicing, actively managing receivables, and maximize cash flow

+ Coordinateprocurement efforts to ensure best bids within budget and compliance withcustomer contracts

+ Managefinancial guarantees / bonds and insurance requirements

+ Encourageteam accountability, foster team collaboration and conduct lessons-learnedreviews for continuous improvement

**ContractualSupport & Management**

+ SupportProject Management teams in disputed matters with customers,subcontractors and vendors, such as scope disputes, change orders, claimsfor additional compensation, schedule changes, and warranty issues

+ Draft,review, and negotiate contracts with customers, subcontractors and vendors

+ Standardizeand enhance contract management practices and tools

+ Contributeto the development of training, templates, and best practices for contractmanagement

+ Provideexecutive leadership to increase contract awareness among project teamsand promote a contract management culture to reduce risk in projects

**You will impress us with the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Law or related field

+ Experience:4+ years of work experience in commercial project controlling/managementin construction projects

+ Strongknowledge of contract law, project change control and risk mitigation

+ Requiredtravel: 10-20%

+ Demonstratedability to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances.

+ Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills in English.

+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States and willnot require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future foremployment in the United States.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Law or related field

+ CPM@Siemenscertificate

+ Resiliencein managing complex projects and overcoming challenges

+ Experiencein contract negotiations, dispute resolution and conflict management

+ Proficiencywith SAP, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andOutlook.
