**In this role, you have the opportunity to**
Take an active role in helping to form our new centralized cash applications team, and the accounting and reconciliation activities that relate. This work all supports our existing team of Collections Specialists who are responsible for cash collections with a defined group of major/key customer accounts, at Philips’ EMEA by maintaining excellent relationships with our customers, internal finance leadership, and cross-functional business partners.
**You are responsible for**
+ Daily retrieval of bank activity (ACH, wire, lockbox and credit card) and ERP receipt activity and post payments to customer accounts
+ Daily and monthly reconciliations against monthly bank statements – identifying and resolving reconciliation items on customer accounts
+ Post and reconcile customer credit card payments
+ Process offsets to clear matched debts and credits on customer accounts
+ Manage the Unapplied Cash report and work with Collections to identify solutions to unreconciled cash items
+ Providing indirect leadership to cash applications, internal finance leadership and cross-functional business partners related to cash management best practices
+ Support and contribute to accounts receivable accounting lean process improvements

Our focus is on supporting faster workflows and collaboration across departments, to enable leaner operations and improved results. 1000+ strong and growing, our Global Business Services EMEA Hub in Lódź teams speak 30 languages and represent 13 different nationalities, supporting our operations in 50 countries supported on a daily basis.
**To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience**
+ Cash Application experience is desirable
+ Background in F&A, Economics or Business Administration
+ Customer service focus
+ Determination to achieve excellent results
+ SAP and Customer Master data process knowledge
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills
+ Team player, Open minded change agent who demonstrates the Philips Behaviors
+ Project management: development and deployment of new processes and procedures
+ Fluent English
