**In this role, you have the opportunity to**
Provide legal and business expertise in the evaluation, development, and negotiation of commercial transactions, contracts, proposals, and quotes while ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures and minimizing contractual risk.
**This position is based in Cambridge, MA** . Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. Candidates need to live within the territory **_or_** within commuting distance. Role is 100% remote right now due to the pandemic. Eventually, the team will go into the Cambridge office 2-3 days/wk.
**You are responsible for**
+ Working with field personnel and internal departments to evaluate and negotiate contracts for sales/service (i.e. capital, consumables, SaaS, consulting, etc.) as well as other related documents
+ Creating contract solutions that minimize risk and provide value to Philips and customers
+ Providing support to Customer Fulfillment Center and Proposal Center for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
+ Implementing and recommending improvements of policies and processes that will ensure that proposals, contractual documents and purchase orders are aligned with company’s business controls, policies and procedures.
+ Maintaining contract files
+ Advising management of contractual rights, obligations, and providing interpretation of terms and conditions identifying risks.
+ Providing training to Sales Team, Customer Fulfillment Center, and proposal developers to ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures
+ Direct support of sales and business, particularly at month end
+ Maintaining contract activity in workflow tool (SFDC)
**To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience**
+ 5+ Years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Paralegal, Certified Contract Management (CCM) [or other contract management certification], or J.D. desired.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to prioritize assignments.
+ Ability to communicate clearly with employees at various levels within the organization, as well as customers.
+ Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment that is deadline driven; be detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task and manage the day to day transactional work with projects, set priorities, and ensure completion of tasks.
+ Proficient in MS Office; with the ability to learn and adapt to other programs such as Saleforce.com (SFDC), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and Lean methodology.
+ Project management; as well as, solid analytical and negotiation skills, required.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual who can work independently and as a team player.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Contract Management – Sales and Service, you will work with a team of other Contracts Managers and interface with Legal, Risk, Finance, Sales, the Global Business Services team as well as other internal Philips customers and negotiate directly with external customers.
