**Description**

The Global Manufacturing Controller reports directly to the Global Controller. The position is responsible for global Manufacturing support, FP&A, accounting, tax and compliance matters at Manufacturing site across Molecular Devices. Requires international travel.

Major Role and Responsibilities:

* Business partner of global plant GM to support manufactory growth in China, understand the business environment to lead creative planning and to prioritize at a strategic level.
* Provide strategic input and insight to drive operations efficiency and savings.
* Responsible for directing the Global Manufacturing Finance and Accounting functions for Molecular Devices.
* Lead and manage Global Ops finance teams to cover manufacturing finance, FP&A, accounting, tax for Moldev globally.
* Lead the standard pricing management, standard cost annual roll, annual plant budgeting and forecasting process, analysis and interpretation of operating statistics and accounting information in order to appraise operating results and performance against budget.
* Preparation of financial reports and presentation of findings and recommendations, including lead monthly financial reporting for plant legal entities.
* Develop and maintain efficient & effective financial policies and procedures.
* Interfaces with DHR Internal Audit Group – responsible for planning and executing on internal audit reviews with each regional controller.

Special projects:

* Project manage the integration / divestiture of business units, and new plants into Moldev globally.
* Lead financial due diligence and post-closing integration for M&A activity.
* Participates in Kaizens as needed

**Qualification**

* A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with at least eight ( 8) years as a manager of a professional team is required
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar. MBA preferred
* CPA preferred, US GAAP and SOX knowledge required.

* Strong change management leadership – driving a change to execution in a “noiseless” way
* Recent experience leading and supporting cross-functional teams and initiatives

* Team player. Ability to engage with all employees in the Company.
* Demonstrated ability to lead an organization through major changes without losing momentum. The ability to inspire continuous focus on key business drivers, as well as the Company’s mission/values.
* Continuous improvement oriented, has familiarity with lean principles and how to apply them to Finance value streams
