As a Global Content Marketing Manager for our Advanced Staining/Immunohistochemistry (IHC) business, you are responsible for positioning Leica Biosystems as a leader in advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives. You will connect the voice of customers, market trends, data, and patient stories to build compelling value propositions/messaging and content to differentiate the product portfolio in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate can develop strong global marketing plans to support product/portfolio launches, can develop messaging that resonates with target audiences, and plays a key role as a connector across an international organization.
A successful candidate will be able to articulate complex content into simple messages that drive engagement and work across the IHC platform. With Business Units located in Melbourne, Newcastle, and Amsterdam, you have proven success driving results working both virtually and in-person across a global environment.
This position will collaborate with business and strategic partners, work with cross-functional teams and leadership and work with senior leadership in the organization.
+ Drive value proposition and messaging development to ensure differentiation with compelling content. This includes supervising competitor positioning and market dynamics.
+ Develop compelling and engaging product/portfolio content including vital proof points to support the value proposition. Curate and edit content as needed.
+ Understands the customers/personas and buyer journey to develop content relevant to both.
+ Develops plans to help position the product/portfolio through a content strategy that enables differentiation and closes the gap in the Buyer Journey (Awareness, consideration all the way through advocacy)
+ Works closely with campaign managers and provides input with regards to campaign content and call to action (CTA).
+ Collaborate with the product manager to develop product naming, value proposition, messaging, translations, and launch deliverables for new product development.
+ Work with the regional selling units to map personas with buyer journey, content needs, and messaging roadmap. Deliverables may include taglines, claims, digital and non-digital assets.
+ Collaborate with other departments to transform data into short stories conveyed via blogs, videos, podcasts, case studies, and other mediums.
+ In collaboration with product management, consistently evaluate brand strategy.
How will you engage customers with our brand?
You will stay abreast of trends and new thinking to drive deep customer engagements while using analytics, commercial insights, and conduct VOC to develop fresh and relevant content strategies and content.
We evaluate efforts using metrics & analytics, building upon successful campaigns and initiatives, and test new tactics and messaging options. Continually refine based on analytics and customer insights.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field (for example but not limited to Marketing, Communications, Business)
+ 7 – 10 years of marketing, content creation, and management experience, preferably in healthcare.
+ Proven analytic skills in order to lead market research and voice of customer initiatives. Use data creatively and visually.
+ Proven experience leading teams, agencies, and freelance.
+ Experience establishing & managing relationships with internal and external customers
Desired Experience and Skills
+ We are looking for someone with prior experience as a marketing manager or strategic marketing (to include segmentation, customer experience, personas, customer profiles, positioning, identifying unique points of differentiation, competitive intelligence).
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills required as this is a high visibility position, interacting with multiple external and internal constituents across all levels of associates, including senior management
+ A solid understanding of Leica Biosystems market or solutions and the needs they fulfill for customers.
+ Agile with the ability to handle a multitude of projects
+ Strong collaboration in a highly matrixed organization
Travel: International travel is required of this position; estimated up to 30% with seasonal peaks and subject to any government, Danaher, or Leica Biosystems travel restrictions caused by COVID-19.
