**Purpose**

+ To provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction to drive Med Ed Excellence in the JAPAC region

+ To achieve positive differentiation for Amgen through best-in-class education programs, events and tools based on deep insights on educational gaps/learning objectives, effective adult learning science and appropriate impact measurement

**Responsibilities**

+ Develop, own and drive Med Ed transformation strategy based on diagnostic findings to medically differentiate Amgen in the region

+ Rollout Med Ed Playbook to ensure all affiliates understand and implement education programs based on appropriate learning objectives aligned to educational gaps identified, employ blended learning model and measure program impact adequately

+ Ensure all affiliates leverage latest trends in adult learning principles, new channels and new technologies to ensure adoption and reach are maximized

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and benchmarks

+ Keep abreast of industry trend and technology revolution to provide HCP- and patient-centric educational offerings

+ Drive Med Ed collaborations with appropriate external experts and institutes

+ Enhance and implement state-of-the-art KPI measurements for Amgen Med Ed programs

+ Maximize scientific communication of Med Ed program output through strategic publications and other appropriate digital channels

+ Work with vendors and consultants to ensure external perspective and latest innovations are captured

+ Design and implement internal country roadshows as well as relevant follow-up trainings for affiliate medical staff

+ Ensures cross-functional alignment of Med Ed strategy and activities.

+ Ensures optimal allocations of internal and external resources to meet goals and objectives

+ Manages functional budget

+ Develop, implement and communicate best practices, processes, common standards, and metrics

+ Be part of the JAPAC medical capabilities team and drive team achievement through individual performance

**Basic Qualifications**

+ PharmD, BScPhm, MD, or PhD or BSc/MSc in a biological science

+ 8+ years Medical affairs experience with special emphasis on medical education and digital

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD)

+ 3+ years’ direct experience including medical education, digital and driving organizational change

+ At least 2 years’ experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical and or/healthcare environment

+ Experience working with other functions within Medical Affairs

+ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment

+ This role requires an experienced change agent and digital project manager who is used to working in a fast-paced environment
