**Role purpose and main responsibilities**

As MSL working on the Medical Team, you will be empowered to provide local country field-based support from the medical function in order to achieve the company’s goals by:

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with Physicians, pharmacists and other relevant HCPs and gain both insight and/or input into treatment patterns, and unmet medical needs

+ Continuously screening, reviewing and analyzing scientific literature;

+ Foster collaborative relationships with opinion leaders and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company

+ Promote scientific information among targeted relevant Health Care Providers (HCPs) in the field of Non communicable diseases

+ Participate in the execution of the medical plan by supporting the Medical Advisor in the implementation of projects such as: Advisory boards, medical education activities, peer-to-peer training activities, partnerships

+ Support reference points of scientific and clinical expertise for sales force and other internal stakeholders

+ Provides clinical presentations and medical information as necessary.

+ Capture and share in-field insights to support medical and scientific strategy and business development. Shares in-field insights in a compliant manner with relevant business functions.

+ Support core license to operate activities with scientific expertise such us promotional materials review.

+ Development of non-promotion material

+ Attend scientific meetings, reviews scientific journals and partners to foster information on medical concepts and product usage

+ Contribute to HCP – patient relation and patients health awareness.

**Key accountabilities:**

+ **Provide medical / scientific advice for assigned products** to ensure that the commercial objectives of each product range are realized, product licenses are maintained and to support Pfizer’s image in the market place whilst legal, regulatory and ethical standards are maintained: advice into / at Strategic, Operating & Tactical plans, Brand team activities, Customer Relations Pricing & Reimbursement, Key meetings of commercial relevance

+ **Set-up a customer facing activities medical plan** including customer relations, to **support the assigned brand from a medical perspective.**

+ **Support the Marketing Manager** in the development and implementation of the **Business Plan** for assigned products

+ **Provide relevant training of colleagues for assigned therapeutic domain**

+ Actively network with customers within the assigned area and the regional Pfizer teams for assigned products. Develop and maintain **ongoing relationships** with **external key influencers**

+ **Provide scientifically valuable answers and information for assigned products** to internal and external customers by ad hoc research, quality check of information, development of FAQ lists, contact with external KOL for relevance as needed, etc.

+ Ensure compliance of **adverse event reporting** for the assigned products in line with Pfizer **Safety** obligations.

+ **Review medical correctness and compliance with local labeling for assigned products.** **Sign-off all marketing materials for assigned products** for medical correctness in accordance with existing internal and external regulations.

+ Ensure that **appropriate medical recommendations** are made, or actions taken to ensure that Pfizer complies with the requirements of regulatory and clinical legislation.

+ **Keep track with the evolution of legislation, medical and scientific knowledge** by following up general and expert literature.

**Reports to Business Unit Senior Medical Advisor (in country)**

**Skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience**

+ **Education: Higher scientific Degree**

+ **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of related medical/scientific activities including research, clinical development, epidemiological, and immunization programs in the industry. Expertise in cardiovascular area is a plus.

+ **Language skills** : Portuguese and English fluent.
