Position Overview:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing, business development, brand and external communication strategies, tactical plans, and programs to optimize market share and profitability. Identifies, develops, and maintains customer and partner relationships and meet service requirements. Partners cross-functionally (e.g., with sales). Leads market research to assess current and future market conditions, competitive product, service and pricing practices and changing customer/prospect dynamics to influence new product/service development. This role will be responsible for driving all aspects of our SCIEX Biopharma business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

+ Lead and motivate team of Market Development and Market Managers.

+ Continuous analysis of the Biopharma market to identify key growth opportunities.

+ Conduct regular VOC to ensure the needs of the market are well understood

+ Utilize market analysis to inform development of strategic initiatives

+ Analyze competitive landscape for creation of battlecards and to inform growth strategy.

+ Define requirements for Biopharma workflows (HW, SW and reagents)

+ Monitor business results to track key revenue metrics within the market, and develop action plans and countermeasures to address shortfalls

+ Identify strategic partnerships which will grow the solutions portfolio for the market and create additional revenue streams for the business

+ Coordinate with Biopharma applications team and Global marketing to develop a strategic technical marketing plan

+ Lead development of Biopharma product proposals for mass spectrometry product management team.

Education and Work Experience:

+ Masters level technical degree in life sciences; MBA preferred

+ 7+ years of experience; in-depth biologics market knowledge

+ 3+ years of direct team management experience

+ Deep understanding of Biopharma MS workflows

+ Detailed technical knowledge of High-Resolution Accurate Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis techniques.
