**In this role, you have the opportunity to**

* The Device Integration Specialist provides technical development implementation and support for the installation, integration, maintenance, devices that integrate with clinical systems. They are also responsible for knowledge and support of Medical Device Integration solutions through HL7, FHIR, ASTM and other propriety standards.

**You are responsible for**

+ Significant knowledge and experience in one product or solution, or, relevant experience in a group of products/solutions

+ Perform analysis of macro-level workflows related to impact of biomed device integration changes in support of new or existing EMR implementation.

+ Perform operational activities in support of large scale MDI implementation projects and programs requiring technical coordination between various Integration services or business disciplines.

+ Perform assessment activities which include identifying, assessing, designing, implementing, and supporting moderately complex MDI integration initiatives across the enterprise.

+ Provide or contribute to necessary data, information and process documentation as needed to support other IS teams and clinical operations staff. Author resulting communications and documentation.

+ Builds and participates in test plan development. Acts as a resource during testing and upgrades; coordinates with appropriate individuals.

+ Develops and executes work plans that are coordinated with other work plans. Recommends adjustments to ensure successful delivery on commitments and efficient use of resources. Handles risk and uncertainty.

+ Intermediate level analytical skills, including process description, logic, problem diagnostics, and problem solving.

+ Intermediate technology hardware and software competency.

+ Collaborate on medical device integration requirements with clinical users, Clinical Informatics and Information Management staff.

+ Assist with design of medical device integration solutions.

+ Knowledgeable of the operation of and have experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of medical equipment and systems.

+ Troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure data connections.

+ Serve as a reference source for healthcare technology management and clinical staff with regards to appropriate procedures for the integration of clinical equipment to the information system.

+ Coordinate activities with device support personnel, technical teams and application teams.

+ Develop of test data, system/integration testing and documentation for all phases of the development life cycle.

+ Ensure quality of device integration and application functionality.

+ Ensure all existing and future medical devices comply with medical device security requirements to ensure protection of PHI.

+ Document all work and projects in compliance with department practices.

**To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience**

* + Work to Project Management timelines and budgets, ensuring timely completion of deliverables within the agreed scope of work

+ Support developers and other cross functional departments during configuration or implementation of specifications

+ Support cross functional departments with issue resolution

+ Delivery of in-person/remote client workshops

+ Support customers during enablement or implementation of our software by answering questions, resolving configuration or UAT issues, and providing guidance on software usage

+ Adhere to industry data collection and handling standards to ensure consistency and facilitate downstream processing (e.g., QC testing)

+ Comply with and enforce Philips Standard Operating Procedures, processes and policies

+ Support third party vendors with integration and/or data transfer efforts.
