**Job Description**

As a Sr. Pulse Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, relative to OR imaging modalities including C-Arm and the use of PULSE™, NuVasive’s revolutionary intraoperative platform. When applicable, will also be responsible for data collection and monitoring of a patient’s nervous system throughout surgery. In addition, he/she must establish and maintain open cooperation and communication with the surgical team, which includes interaction with the surgeon. Additional responsibilities include pre-operative patient assessments and post-operative billing uploads.

The Pulse Specialist – Long Term Traveler role is an excellent opportunity to work in service markets throughout the U.S. while participating in various market development and support initiatives. Team members relocate approximately every 3-6 months while in this role.

+ Effectively articulate NuVasive’s unique value propositions in a manner that encourages acceptance and use of the PULSE™ technology.

+ Observe and assist clinical staff (surgeons, radiographic technologists, etc.) in spine & orthopedic procedures that rely heavily on the use of fluoroscopic imaging.

+ Assist physicians in identifying cases that would benefit significantly from the utilization of PULSE™.

+ Conduct joint customer calls with NuVasive customer service personnel on an as-needed basis.

+ Serve as the primary, post-implementation, technical resource for clinical staff.

+ Keep abreast of industry trends and communicate pertinent information upstream, as appropriate.

+ Consult with surgeon regarding structures at risk and modalities to be monitored.

+ Provide clinical expertise in surgical cases utilizing PULSE™ technology.

+ Post-sale implementation and training of clinical staff & “super users”.

+ Facilitate product demonstrations, trials, and evaluations.

+ Maintain clinical/technical proficiency – Surgical case coverage is required with the goal of providing the highest degree of value to the surgeon & clinical staff.

**Basic Qualifications**

+ CNIM certification

+ 3+ Years Experience IONM experience

+ Excellent communication & presentation skills

+ Strong time management and organizational skills

+ Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

+ Ability to handle the demands of long-term travel

+ Must be able to effectively communicate with surgeon and surgical staff

+ Ability to create & maintain professional and positive relationships with surgeons/hospitals

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ NuVasive NVM5 experience

+ Proficiency in the practical application of computer systems and software
