You will be a part of the Revenue Recognition accounting team and report to the Manager of Revenue Recognition, who is responsible for Beckman Coulter’s revenue and lease accounting. This position is part of the Finance and Accounting Department based on-site at our Brea, CA Headquarters.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Solve complex problems using data analytics
+ Perform monthly and quarterly close procedures related to revenue and lease accounting to ensure company results are reported timely and accurately
Build a foundation in understanding the Company’s business model, including product offerings, customer base, sales strategy and contract structuring.
+ Be a subject-matter expert and provide guidance around ASC 606 & ASC 842 and act as a resource in discussions with various internal teams regarding application of revenue recognition and lease accounting in accordance with guidance and Company policy.
+ Running point on special projects and assignments that encourage creativity and critical thinking.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with 5+ years OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of experience or CPA OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years
+ Experience with revenue recognition concepts and accounting preferred.
+ Knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
+ Proficient in Oracle ERP System
The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $105,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
