The Senior Director, Strategy, RFM (Resin, Filtration, Media) is responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of Cytiva’s Resin, Filtration, and Cell Culture Media businesses. We are looking for an experienced and credible individual with the vision and leadership to orchestrate a compelling strategicbusiness plan, advance market research and analysis, and synthesize the ensuing implications for the businesses.

The Senior Director, Strategy, RFM will partner with the General Managers and their leadership teams and with other strategy leaders of Danaher’s Biotechnology Group to develop, articulate, and implement business strategies that drive meaningful improvements in the development of therapies, and, in turn, increase market share gains, profitability, and create shareholder value. This position is part of the global Strategy & Business Development Team, reporting to the VP Strategy, Cytiva, and can be based out of one Cytiva’s main locations globally. The role is on-site and will require up to 30% travel.

What you will do:

As a Strategy Leader you will own the end-to-end strategic process for Cytiva’s Resin, Filtration, and Media businesses – from vision through execution – to achieve sustainable growth:

+ Lead the formation of a coherent strategic plan in collaboration with the General Managers as well as Cytiva leadership that clearly conveys a differentiated and defensible position

+ For that, communicate, guide, and mentor the business unit leaders throughout the annual strategic planning process

+ Act as thought partner for the three General Managers, advising how they can position their respective businesses towards the highest areas of growth

+ Lead market work within both existing spaces and adjacent spaces in order to open up strategic opportunities for the Resin/ Filtration/Media business units

+ Teach and train others in the organization in the effective utilization of strategy tools to improve strategic acumen and ability to synthesize market research for deeper insights, leading to higher quality strategic initiatives for the three businesses.

+ Lead and develop a small team with subject matter expertise to perform market analysis, identifying targets, supporting due diligence efforts etc.

+ Communicate strategic goals and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring buy-in and support while providing support and maintain visibility around the enablement of the strategic actions recommended throughout the strategic planning process

Who you are:

+ Undergraduate degree in a scientific or technical field and top tier MBA or other graduate degree required.

+ Multiple (ideally 2-4 years) in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience focused on market analysis; additionally, 2-5 years’ experience executing in a non-consulting role

+ Substantial experience in strategic planning (ideally within the Life Science industry), a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and demonstrated business acumen

+ Substantial experience and/or formal education that has allowed the development of a deep understanding of biotechnology/drug development, bioprocessing or the Life Science tools industry, its trends, and the competitive landscape resulting in key customer insights and empathy.

+ Critical thinker with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well cross -functionally and to interact with executives at the most senior levels.

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex business issues while simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
