The Field Application Specialist – Histocore is responsible for delivering technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring optimal use of Leica Biosystems’ anatomical pathology solutions. This role drives significant impact by providing hands-on training, validating equipment and protocols, and troubleshooting complex issues to maximize customer satisfaction and workflow efficiency.

This position reports to the Field Applications Manager and is part of the Services and Applications team located in São Paulo/Capital, working remotely to cover all regions of Brazil.

In this role, the main responsibilities are, but not limited to:

+ Deliver hands-on training and ensure proper usage and compliance for Leica Biosystems equipment and products.

+ Support customers in the validation, implementation, and optimization of equipment and staining protocols in anatomical pathology laboratories.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, investigating root causes and providing effective solutions.

+ Collaborate with internal teams—including Sales, Field Service Engineers, Marketing, Regulatory/Quality Affairs, and Contracts/Tenders—to provide technical expertise and support business objectives.

+ Lead workflow optimization projects and travel extensively across Brazil to analyze laboratory processes, recommend improvements, and adapt to dynamic client environments.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine, or related field.

+ Multiple years of work or academic experience in laboratory environments working with anatomical pathology or cell biology.

+ Advanced English proficiency (required for international trainings and global team interactions).

+ Experience with technical support or training for laboratory equipment.

+ Experience with workflow optimization or process improvement in anatomical pathology laboratories.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

+ Availability for travel 70-80% of the time, overnight, throughout Brazil.

+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

+ Must have a valid passport and USA visa for international trainings.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Working as a Field Application Specialist or similar role for a healthcare or diagnostics company.

+ Spanish language proficiency.
