Siemens operates one of the leading industry Cyber Defense
Centers (CDC) / Security Operations Centers (SOC) and is currently seeking a
new Global Head of CDC to lead our team.

**In this role you will work remotely from a homeoffice.** **However, this position will require** **you to work business hours in the USAEastern Time Zone.**

You will direct and manage the global cybersecurity
security operations & detection team at Siemens. The role includes ensuring
the team functions effectively around the clock worldwide, is properly
resourced and prepared for cybersecurity threat detection & management. You
will serve as the representative for CDC within Siemens and in the wider
cybersecurity community, contributing to strategic projects and initiatives
that strengthen security measures and service quality.

**You’ll make an impact by**

+ StrategicLeadership: Work closely with cybersecurity technologists/architects todefine improvement and innovation initiatives and long-term strategies.

+ Leadand implement the Siemens ONE SOC strategy together with our internalstakeholders to have a unified approach for Siemens ONE TECH strategy.

+ Ensureclose collaboration with TI and CERT as one virtual team, further developon the related cybersecurity strategy with breakdown into roadmaps anddrive actively productivity measures to ensure the transformation of theSiemens ONE TECH strategy into Cybersecurity

+ RepresentCDC in high-level meetings and workshops, both internally and externally.Position CDC during the integration or separation of Siemens entities,strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and build effective feedbackloops. Support the definition and implementation of the overallorganizational cybersecurity strategy.

+ Ensurecontinuous and seamless monitoring of security events and incidents acrossSiemens’ IT & OT environments. Drive the development andimplementation of IT and OT security monitoring to ensure adequateprotection of the company’s constantly evolving infrastructure.

+ TeamLeadership & Operational Management: Manage and align with a globallydistributed team specializing in security operations center & threatdetection in IT and OT environments. Lead internal relations, managedirect reports, ensure adequate coverage, training, resource planning, androadmap orchestration.

+ ServiceOwnership & Stakeholder Management: Oversee service excellence withinthe diverse structure of Siemens and manage the complete SOC operationslifecycle. Maintain stakeholder relationships, coordinate global serviceoperations, establish KPIs and metrics, and make decisions related totooling and service processes. Adjust and update the scope of services asneeded in response to feedback, regulatory requirements, best practices,and industry standards (NIST, MITRE, ISO 27001, etc.).

+ FinancialOversight: Responsibly manage the finances and budget of the CDCorganization. Lead the planning and budget negotiations for the serviceportfolio, including scope, and provide input for annual budget cycles.

+ ProjectContributions & Tool Development: Organize and coordinatecontributions to central and partner-driven projects, collaborating withbusinesses, FT, IT and internal departments like CERT and ThreatIntelligence. Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust toolingstack to support CDC/SOC operations and collaborations.

+ InternalCollaboration: Foster and ensure close collaboration with neighboringteams such as threat intelligence, CERT, and ProductCERT, as well as withacademic and research partners.

+ ExternalEngagement & Industry Collaboration: Ensure CDC’s presence in industryassociations and major conferences, maintain exchanges with other SOCs andcybersecurity organizations, and foster partnerships with universities,research centers, and regional agencies.

**Basic Required Experience & Skills**

+ MastersDegree in Information Technology, Computational Science, businessinformation technology or similar from an accredited university.

+ 5-8years work experience in at least one of the following areas:Cybersecurity operations / SOC operations, Incident Response, ThreatDetection, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing or VulnerabilityManagement

+ Advancedexperience in critical cybersecurity services within time and budget

+ Experiencein leading technical specialists in distributed settings and complexenvironments

+ Experiencepresenting and explaining complex technical topics to both management andtechnical partners

+ Self-guidedwith the clear desire to become an acknowledged advisor inside and outsideof our global Siemens cyber security community

+ Establishednetwork to the worldwide cybersecurity community

+ Fluentin spoken and written English, including security terminology

+ Legallyauthorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now orin the future.

**Preferred Skills:**

+ Excellentability to interact with both technical specialists and non-technicalstaff in exceptional situations to ensure correct actions are taken andcommunication partners collaborate

+ Strategicthinking and cross-collaboration

+ Germanlanguage skills are a plus.
