As an intern with the **Electrification and Automation (EA)** division of **Siemens Smart Infrastructure** , you’ll gain **hands-on experience** supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a **collaborative, impact-driven environment.**

**We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Environmental Health & Safety Operator Internship beginning in May or June 2026. This program is based in Wendell, NC.**

**You’ll make an impact by:**

+ Supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance activities by assisting with regulatory and company-required compliance calendar tasks.

+ Assisting in the development and documentation of risk assessments, including organizing and segmenting assessments by product line.

+ Shadowing EHS Operators to support day-to-day activities such as incident investigations, risk mitigation actions, and process improvement initiatives.

+ Contributing to technical documentation and standard work related to Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

+ Assisting with special Environmental, Health, and Safety projects as assigned to support continuous improvement efforts.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.

+ Basic computer skills, including familiarity with standard office software.

+ Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.

+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Coursework or prior exposure to Environmental, Health, and Safety principles or regulatory compliance.

+ Experience with technical or procedural writing.

+ Familiarity with risk assessments, incident reporting, or safety documentation processes.

+ Attention to detail and ability to support compliance-driven work.

+ Willingness to learn and apply EHS standards and procedures.
