The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for financial oversight of complex third party arrangements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This position reports to the Global Commercial Controller and is an on-site role in Budapest.
What you will do:
+ Own the accounting and financial oversight of global third-party contractual arrangements, ensuring accurate revenue and cost recognition.
+ Interpret contractual terms and ensure they are appropriate reflected in the financial statements.
+ Review and approve detailed calculations and reconciliations supporting financial balances. Support the month end process, including journal preparation and review, ensuring accurate sales and cost cut-off.
+ Conduct detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts to identify trends, anomalies and potential risks, including variance analysis and balance composition during the month end process.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal, on new agreements, amendments, and renewals, assessing accounting implications.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
+ 7+ years of experience in accounting and strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)
+ Demonstrated ability to interpret contractual terms and evaluate financial implications
+ Proficiency in Oracle and/or SAP, as well as advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling and analysis
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial information to various stakeholders. High attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of transactional data
