**About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:**
The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!
The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility.
**We are looking for a Production Supervisor – 1st Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.**
We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to support operations on the Low Voltage Switchboard line at our Wendell, NC facility. This role is a key part of an expanding supervisory team and is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
As a Production Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, develop frontline talent, and partner cross-functionally to drive operational excellence and meet business objectives.
**You’ll make an impact by:**
+ Leading daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) targets while maximizing labor and equipment utilization.
+ Developing and coaching a team of production associates, driving engagement, accountability, and strong performance.
+ Championing Safety, 6S, and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
+ Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning to resolve issues, support new product introductions, and implement process improvements.
+ Monitoring and acting on key performance indicators (KPIs) through Tier Meetings, data analysis, and corrective actions to sustain operational performance.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a production leadership or supervisory role.
+ Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S, and process improvement, supported by strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Working knowledge of SAP and proficiency with standard production systems and Microsoft Office tools.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with switchboard or electrical equipment manufacturing and/or Lean or Six Sigma certification.
+ Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and partner effectively across functions.
