**About the Internship – Quantitative Model for FDP Network Optimization (Nordics & Balkan)**
The Global Distribution Hub (GDH) EMEA manages distribution to manufacturing locations and end customers across the region through a vast network of Logistics Service Providers, Transportation Service Providers, and Amgen-owned warehouses.
Within this context, the team is seeking a student to support a strategic project: developing a quantitative decision-support model that evaluates distribution scenarios and supports the selection of the optimal FDP (Forward Distribution Point) model for the Nordics and Balkan regions.
**Your Assignment**
During this internship, you will help shape Amgen’s regional distribution strategy by:
+ Building a quantitative model to compare consignment vs. non‑consignment FDP setups
+ Conducting scenario analyses to assess regional distribution impacts
+ Evaluating cost, service level, and logistics implications
+ Supporting data-driven strategic recommendations
+ Contributing to a multi-site optimization initiative within a global biopharmaceutical supply chain
This assignment provides hands-on experience with real-world network modeling in a multinational environment.

**Skills & Profile We’re Looking For**
To succeed in this internship, you should:
+ Be a pre-final or final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Supply Chain, Data Science, or related fields
+ Be proficient in English (verbal and written)
+ Have strong analytical and numerical skills
+ Be accurate, organized, responsible, and able to work independently
