The Finance Manager-Inventory Accounting is responsible for leading certain global inventory accounting & reporting practices, primarily related to Profit in Inventory (PII) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). In addition, the role will drive process improvement initiatives in various inventory accounting/reporting sub-processes.

This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager-Inventory Accounting; is part of the Global Inventory Controllership Process team located in Budapest and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

+ Lead the monthly General Ledger entries related to certain Profit in Inventory (PII) elimination/reclass practices for the global Cytiva business;

+ Assist in the monthly Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reconciliation between the GL and Cytiva’s COGS BI tool. Investigate significant differences at the inventory item level;

+ Business partner to Business Unit Finance leaders & other Finance stakeholders for the above processes, working collaboratively across multiple teams;

+ Implement global standard work across different teams & sub-processes. Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation;

+ Support closing and compliance activities, including preparation of account reconciliations, global Sarbanes-Oxley testing of inventory processes, annual balance sheet reviews, internal and external audits;

Who you are:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent experience;

+ Several years of relevant experience in accounting or finance within a global business environment, including exposure to global processes and transactional flows;

+ Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in inventory accounting;

+ Advanced analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets in Excel, identify trends and drivers, and deliver clear, insightful analysis;

+ High adaptability and flexibility—comfortable working in dynamic environments, responding to new information, and managing ambiguity effectively.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

+ Ability to travel – Occasional travel to other locations to participate in team and project/kaizen initiatives.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Working within Oracle or SAP;

+ Working with BI tools, for example Qlik Sense, OneStream;

+ Implementing process improvement.
