The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager – India is responsible for Lead, coach, and develop the India strategic sourcing team, manage team to drive Indian sourcing, cost down and NPI&NPD project execution, supplier base development, supplier performance and relationship management
This position reports to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Director-APAC and is part of the Global Sourcing Organization located in Bangalore India and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
+ Lead, coach, and develop sourcing professionals, setting standards and ways of working, drive implementation of sourcing processes, tools, and best practices
+ Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives to deliver cost savings and execute various types of sourcing projects in India
+ Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers and partners
+ Lead supplier performance, capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives
+ Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and sourcing performance
+ Act as escalation owner for critical supplier or supply disruptions
Who you are
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field, MBA or advanced procurement certification preferred but not mandatory
+ Proven experience in strategic sourcing / procurement with ownership of categories, suppliers, or regions
+ Demonstrated results in cost reduction, value creation, and risk mitigation through structured sourcing initiatives
+ Experience leading or developing a small size (less than 5) sourcing/procurement team, Ability to set priorities, coach team members, and drive consistent execution
+ Structured project management and process‑improvement mindset
+ Strong supplier relationship management capabilities, including performance management and partnership building
+ Hands‑on experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and spend analysis
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
+ Ability to travel approximately 20%, including domestic and occasional international travel for supplier engagement, negotiations, and cross‑functional reviews.
