In this role, you will work within a nationally recognized department that provides specialized emergency care for patients with complex oncologic conditions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of physicians, researchers, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement evidence-based approaches that improve outcomes for cancer patients experiencing acute medical emergencies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality clinical care for patients with cancer-related emergencies in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment.
* Participating in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research initiatives that advance the field of Oncologic Emergency Medicine.
* Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare trainees.
* Contributing to quality improvement programs, departmental committees, and institutional service activities.
* Supporting the development of innovative care models and best practices that enhance patient safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.

*Qualifications*
* M.D. and completion of accredited residency
* Board certified/eligible in *Emergency Medicine* or *Internal Medicine*
* Eligible for *Texas medical licensure*
* Minimum *2 years Instructor experience* or *5 years post-degree* clinical/scientific training
