The UT MD Anderson seeks a Psychometrist to support the Neuro-Oncology department delivering high-quality neuropsychological and psychological assessment services. The Psychometrist plays a key role in administering, scoring, and documenting a wide range of cognitive, neuropsychological, academic, behavioral, and emotional tests used in the diagnosis of neurological and psychological disorders. The Psychometrist collaborates closely with clinical neuropsychologists and contributes to patient-centered care through accurate data collection and detailed behavioral observations. The Psychometrist is essential in maintaining testing standards and ensuring reliable, timely results.

*Responsibilities*
*Clinical Testing & Administration*
• Administer a basic battery of standardized neuropsychological tests and measures
• Perform neuropsychological and psychological test procedures across cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional domains
• Assist patients in addressing testing-related concerns, anxieties, aggression, or resistance
• Adhere strictly to testing and data collection protocols to ensure validity and reliability
*Scoring & Data Management*
• Score tests administered with a minimum expectation of 95% accuracy
• Record and organize test results in summary form for clinical interpretation
• Review scoring, data, and summary reports for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, availability, and security of all collected information
*Behavioral Observations & Reporting*
• Document detailed behavioral observations during the assessment process
• Provide written summaries of patient behavior during testing sessions
• Include observations of interactions with family members, caregivers, or peers when applicable
• Communicate findings clearly to clinical neuropsychologists to support interpretation
*Operational Support & Coordination*
• Collect and maintain patient demographic information
• Assist in scheduling testing appointments and confirming patient visits
• Maintain patient files and databases in accordance with institutional standards
• Support billing and coding processes related to testing procedures
• Maintain test materials and equipment in proper working order
*Professional Standards & Development*
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with patients and staff
• Exhibit a professional demeanor in all patient and team interactions
• Attend internal and external training conferences and educational sessions
• Adhere to and model organizational Core Standards and departmental expectations

* Required: Bachelor’s Degree
* Preferred: Master’s Degree Psychology or Applied Neuroscience.
