**We are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, Field Service. This position will be based remotely within the United States.**
As the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, you will lead the EHS function supporting our growing Electrification & Automation field service organization and a team of approximately six to seven EHS professionals. You will provide strategic direction for electrical, field, and construction safety programs while partnering with business leaders to protect employees, subcontractors, customers, and the environment. You will also help evaluate and shape the EHS team’s coverage model as the organization continues to grow.
**You’ll make a difference by:**
+ Leading and developing a geographically dispersed team of EHS professionals supporting field service operations, electrical construction projects, commissioning activities, and customer locations.
+ Providing strategic direction for electrical safety programs, including arc-flash prevention, electrical safety training, lockout/tagout procedures, job safety analyses, and controls for high-risk work.
+ Promoting Siemens’ Zero Harm Culture by serving as a visible safety leader, maintaining EHS standards, and making sound safety decisions when operational priorities conflict with employee or customer safety.
+ Developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS policies, procedures, site-specific safety plans, safe work practices, emergency preparedness programs, and employee training.
+ Conducting and overseeing EHS assessments, audits, incident investigations, subcontractor evaluations, corrective actions, regulatory reporting, workers’ compensation activities, and return-to-work programs.
+ Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations while monitoring regulatory changes and advising employees and business leaders on EHS risks and requirements.
+ Partnering with field service leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to assess organizational needs, align EHS resources with business growth, and guide future decisions regarding team structure and geographic coverage.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 8+ years’ experience in a technical EHS role focusing on Safety and Environmental Compliance
+ Leading environmental, health, and safety programs in field service operations, electrical construction, construction sites, substations, commissioning environments, or similarly high-risk operations.
+ Applying electrical safety principles and requirements, including arc-flash hazard prevention, electrical safety training, lockout/tagout programs, hazard assessments, and controls for high-risk electrical work.
+ Interpreting and implementing OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and industry safety standards.
+ Conducting EHS audits, workplace inspections, incident investigations, regulatory reporting, corrective-action tracking, and subcontractor safety assessments.
+ Developing EHS policies, procedures, safety plans, training materials, and practical risk-control solutions while managing multiple priorities across teams and locations.
+ Ability to travel up to 40% to support field teams, customer sites, and business locations across the United States.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience managing, supervising, coaching, or developing EHS professionals across multiple locations or regions.
+ Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or comparable EHS certification.
+ Experience supporting electrical power distribution, substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relays, controls, commissioning, or related electrical infrastructure.
+ Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, or similar environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.
+ Experience influencing field employees, technical stakeholders, and business leaders while applying safety requirements consistently and making difficult decisions when safety and operational priorities conflict.
