**Position Overview:**
Join Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC, where innovation meets impact. Siemens Customer Services is a diverse business maintaining and overhauling multiple rail vehicles throughout the United States and Canada. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance in our passenger railcar manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
**What your day-to-day will look like:**
+ Lead non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, functional, and first article inspections to verify product quality, safety, and conformance.
+ Work independently with specialized equipment, unique setups, and multiple data sources to support accurate quality decisions.
+ Prepare and approve inspection reports, records, charts, and basic statistical analyses to track conformance status and material processing.
+ Lead root cause evaluations and apply quality tools to resolve issues, improve processes, and prevent recurrence.
+ Train and guide less experienced inspectors to strengthen consistency, accuracy, and inspection performance across the team.
+ Coordinate department consumables and small tools, support equipment maintenance requests, and ensure assigned areas meet 6S standards.
+ Work effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a safety-first approach in daily operations.

**To thrive in this role, you have:**
+ High school diploma/GED.
+ 2+ years of experience in quality department operations.
+ Experience using Teams, SharePoint, SAP, and other Microsoft products.
+ Knowledge of document control standards and protocols.
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AAR or other prevailing quality standards preferred.
+ Knowledge of rolling stock and rolling stock components preferred.
+ Strong background using metrology tools.
+ Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.
