As an intern with the **Electrification and Automation (EA)** division of **Siemens Smart Infrastructure** , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment.
**We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Environmental Health & Safety Internship beginning in May or June 2027. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.**
**You’ll make an impact by:**
+ Supporting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives across the facility.
+ Incorporating Siemens biodiversity initiatives into site environmental programs and supporting regulatory compliance activities.
+ Attending daily operations tier meetings and responding to environmental and safety incidents.
+ Conducting EHS inspections and supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
+ Supporting training record management, document updates, incident trend tracking, and other EHS projects.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Safety Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and approaching completion of their degree program.
+ Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
+ This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with incident data analysis.
+ Experience supporting compliance activities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Interest in environmental compliance, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
