Omnicell, Inc. has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an Automation Optimization Consultant to work in the East Division. The Automation Optimization Consultant (AOC) will report to the AOC Manager and will help customers receive maximum value from their installed automation products. The AOC team works closely with System Sales Directors, Clinical Consultants and Technical Account Managers to increase customer success and satisfaction while promoting sales opportunities. They create and deliver strategic site assessment and optimization plans to those customers with opportunities for efficiency and product utilization improvement. The AOC team utilizes several standardized tools and processes to gather automation product efficiency and utilization data, create metrics, establish recommendations for operational improvement, and present findings to key customer stakeholders. These tools and processes help guide Omnicell customers to achieve their desired return on investment while at the same time positions customers for add-on sales and site reference-ability.


Customer Success

+ Maintains high levels of client satisfaction by providing strategic customer-focused value-add support emphasizing quality, responsiveness, and technical expertise

+ Executes in-depth AOC Site Assessment plans to strategic customers and ensures assessment project deliverables are clear, concise, professionally composed, and aligned with customer / sales organization goals

+ Develops comprehensive customer plans for strategic clients and associated metrics to track product usage improvements

+ Drive customer adoption by discovering opportunities to maximize product benefits by recommending the incorporation of key product features and functions at customer facilities

+ Successfully utilizes AOC team tools and best practices to optimize automation products in an effort to have customers recognize value from all automation products

+ Ensures customer issues are escalated to the correct product support entities

Sales Success

+ Collaborates with assigned System Sales Directors and Technical Account Managers to prioritize customer engagements and to establish target objectives for the customer engagement

+ Actively drives achievement of site reference-ability

+ Works proactively with sales and marketing to identify, communicate, escalate and resolve critical client / project issues identified by the Automation Optimization team in a preemptive and timely manner

Business Success/Cross Functional Collaboration

+ Serves as a key stakeholder and/or project champion for internal project initiatives

+ Aligns with key departments including sales (System Sales Directors and Directors of Strategic Accounts), product management, professional services, product support, and training/documentation

+ Gathers, assimilates and analyzes customer data to support business initiatives

Required Knowledge and Skills:

+ Excellently demonstrated written and verbal communication, documentation and customer relation skills

+ Possess positive, professional demeanor and presentation in all internal and client interactions

+ Ability to effectively and efficiently manage projects

+ Ability to identify, analyze, and evaluate problems / opportunities that leads to recommending and implementing potential solutions in a customer environment

+ Must be highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative

+ Demonstrated Advanced proficiency with computer skills including MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree OR

+ High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a healthcare setting

+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in at least one of these areas:

+ Strategic customer engagement experience tied to optimization in a healthcare setting

+ Process improvement in terms of efficiency in a healthcare setting

+ Workflow analysis in supply chain or medication dispensing

+ Data analytics

+ Consulting in a healthcare or in a analytics environment

+ Pharmacy/nursing/supply operations

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master’s Degree

+ In-depth Omnicell products knowledge

+ Medication dispensing process experience

+ Lean / Six-sigma Experience

+ PMP and / or beneficial certification or license in a healthcare field

Work Conditions:

+ Approximately 65 to 80% overnight travel required

+ Remote based position based preferably in Southeastern United States near a major airport
