CNC II Position objective
Performing complex set-up and operation of multi axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, and overtime is frequent.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
Essential job functions
+ Assist in the selection of tools, holding fixtures, and methods for producing machined parts. Perform first piece and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools (i.e. gauges and automated CMMs) and blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
+ Completion of all paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Red Tags, etc. Effectively perform secondary operations (i.e. operation and setup on simple machines or processes including drill press, stamping press, deburring, etc.).
+ Produce products that meet all quality and drawing requirements while maintaining an acceptable production rate based on pre-established standards and assists in training co-workers.
Minimum qualifications
+ Must have a High School Diploma or local equivalent (i.e. GED) or completed Trade School Apprenticeship program or three (3) years of CNC set-up experience.
+ Prior experience running 9-axis machining.
+ Solid understanding of shop math (i.e. algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T).
Physical requirements
+ Pass basic eye test.
+ Required to stand for long time periods (for a minimum of 8 hours or more), lifting of 50 lbs. frequently and the ability to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.
Other requirements
+ Support the Site and company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies (i.e. FOD and line clearance policies of the company).
+ Participates in no less than one (1) Kaizen event per year.
