The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
**We are looking for Fabrication Front Welder to join our 3rd shift team at Roebuck, SC.**
**Shift Hours:** 10:00pm – 6:00am
**Hourly Rate:** $25.05 plus $1.25 Shift Differential
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience / knowledge in spot welding or general welding.
+ Ability to read blueprints and apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
+ Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
+ Work standing for the duration of the shift
+ Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs. and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
+ Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
+ In this role, you must be able to meet the physical requirements, which include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Ability to complete 1/4 mile walk within 7 minutes, show strength & endurance carrying heavy objects weighing between 25 lbs. and 78 lbs. and push 12 lbs. using pulling machining, along with radial flexion and elbow extension under 2.5 minutes.
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer – sponsored work authorization _._
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Successful years of continuous growth in the fabrication department.
+ Lean Manufacturing techniques and experience are required for this role (5S, VSM, 7 waste, etc.)
+ Experience with SAP and DMM systems.
+ Experience with make to order product.
**You’ll make an impact by:**
• Required to operate front welder machine.
• Works in a team.
• Works directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.
• Read blueprints and front welds steel.
• Work may be verified for correctness.
• Works with ISO/work standards.
• Completes confirmation documentation via SAP data management system or DMM.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure functioning and safe working conditions and wears appropriate PPE.
• Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
• Performs other work per Supervisor’s direction.
