Your Role: Leadership at the Frontline of Service Excellence
As Field Service Supervisor, you will lead a talented team of Field Service Engineers across both Clinical Diagnostics and Life Sciences Research (LSR) disciplines. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service across multiple provinces. You’ll also champion DBS tools such as Danaher Problem Solving Process (PSP) and Daily Management (DM) to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Group Services Manager – South Africa, you’ll be based in Gauteng, operating remotely across the region.
What You’ll Do
+ Lead and develop a high-performing field service team, ensuring timely, high-quality support across the territory.
+ Manage service documentation and compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Drive customer satisfaction by resolving escalated technical issues and fostering trusted relationships.
+ Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure goals are met and improvements are sustained.
+ Own departmental planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for field service operations.
+ Implement and champion Danaher’s PSP and DBS methodologies for operational excellence.
+ Participate in staffing decisions, coaching, and performance development.
+ Ensure timely execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Modification (Mod) schedules.
+ Provide regular reports to management and escalate critical issues proactively.
What You Bring
Essential Qualifications:
+ National Diploma or BTech in Biomedical Technology (or equivalent)
+ Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
+ Strong technical knowledge in Chemistry, Immunochemistry, and Hematology
+ Proficiency with Oracle Service & Maintenance software and Microsoft Office suite (incl. Power BI)
+ Strong interpersonal skills, team leadership capabilities, and business acumen
Preferred Skills:
+ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
+ Experience using ServiceMax and Salesforce platforms
+ Excellent communication—verbal, written, and cross-functional
+ Results-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines
+ Ability to coach, mentor, and grow team capabilities across technical and soft skills
Logistics & Travel
+ Willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight as needed within territory
+ Must hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
