The Indirect Strategic Buyer is responsible for the execution of procurement functions and the establishment of supply agreements. Support procurement team financial objectives (PPV, DPO, OTD, and Funnels). Use Supplier Quality Management system to improve supplier performance and communication. Ensure that suppliers are adhering to developed standards and to established corporate guidance. Stays current on commodity trends in the marketplace.

This position reports to the Procurement Manager and is part of the Procurement Team located in New Brighton, MN and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Ensure the availability of assigned parts and minimize risk exposure.

+ Support on-time delivery through the implementation of Supplier Quality Management and Dynamic Kanban systems.

+ Support procurement team in supply chain financial objectives (PPV, DPO, OTD, and Funnels).

+ Negotiate contracts with suppliers that provide for continuous year-over-year improvements in performance, including cost, quality and delivery.

+ Maintain and monitor Item Master data; revise essential system planning data to ensure Axapta is effectively planning future requirements

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience

+ Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.

+ Effective negotiation skills.

+ Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.

+ 5 years procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

+ Up to 10% may be required including international travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Sound problem solving and analytical skills.

+ APICS CPIM/CSCP, or ISM CPSM certification is preferred.

The annual salary range for this role is $85k-$95k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
