The primary role of the Sr. Instrumentation Technician is to provide competent and effective electrical and mechanical maintenance support to Plant operations. The candidate must identify, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and processes with electrical and/or mechanical problems. The candidate must be able to run tests, isolate problems, and perform the necessary tasks to ensure equipment reliability is maintained. They must be able to perform preventive maintenance as prescribed by PM Work Orders.
This position requires a skilled craftsperson with knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation. Understanding of process control loops, loop checks, loop tuning of process control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot computer- based control systems. Experience in such specialized subjects as theory of control, analog and/or digital electronics, and the operation and maintenance of a wide variety of field instrumentation.

+ Maintain an up to date cGMP training file, execute planned and scheduled work activities and coordinate work performed by Pfizer staff and contractors with operations staff to minimize impact to production activities.
+ Understand and interpret electrical/electronic schematics, equipment P&ID’s and manuals
+ Able to make independent decisions within defined scope of work and seek clarification when needed. Must be self-driven and demonstrate ability to work with little direction.
+ Responsible for performing/providing calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, loop- checking and documentation of instruments and process control systems used in manufacturing and utility plants and analytical labs.
+ Will ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
+ Responsible for writing new and revising existing task instructions.
+ Participate in Continuous Improvement events
+ HS diploma with 6+ years of experience performing electrical/electronic maintenance on industrial equipment and systems.
+ Solid knowledge of the physics of temperature, pressure, flow and conductivity.
+ Well versed in understanding P&ID drawings and electronic schematics.
+ Capable of moderately complex troubleshooting.
+ Basic understanding of LOTO principles.
+ Computer competent, with good written and verbal communication skills. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS software packages, Scheduling software/practices and principles, and experienced with cGMP practices is a plus.
+ Ability to collaborate with functional areas such as operations, maintenance, and validation is required to provide appropriate support. Availability to work off-shift.
+ Prior experience in a cGxP regulated environment.
+ AAS degree in instrumentation, calibration or related fields.
This position will involve field work and office work requiring sitting, standing and walking. This position may also require the ability to climb ladders and work at heights while being tied off; be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to wear a clean room gown.

Requirements include the ability to travel (foreign and domestic) and are willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, holidays and off shift as needed.
