**Essential Job Functions:**

+ Design and lead the reengineering and optimization of business processes and systems.

+ Create the strategy and lead the development of the technical components of the CMS and integrated system solutions (e.g., Labeling production platform and Translation Management System (TMS))

+ Evaluate and validate functional business requirements against business needs. Translate the needs of business and articulate the functional design, integrations, and processes necessary to meet requirements.

+ Configure and test systems to execute features, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and reporting.

+ Provide design and architecture guidance to project teams to execute tactical projects / initiatives.

+ Lead the development and maintenance of documentation, policies and procedures for Edwards’ use of CMS, including labeling, PLM and ERP technologies used in conjunction with CMS

+ Provide leadership and guidance to solution users on best practices.

+ Actively lead and train labeling production teams on tools and systems used to generate solution outputs (e.g., labels and documentation)

+ Develop strategic plans for future process innovation. Identify and recommend innovations that significantly enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.

+ Lead labeling system implementation strategies in collaboration with team members (e.g., Labeling PMO)

+ Compile or design architectural models for a current system or proposed system.

+ Develop the strategy and lead the creation and implementation of data structure/architecture and style sheets

+ Identify root causes and develop resolutions to troubleshoot business processes. Test and validate processes and systems including researching data integrity/accuracy.

+ Other incidental duties: Add and update content in the design and configuration of the data management solution (e.g., metadata repository, knowledge base).

Qualifications:

**Required Education/Skills/Experience:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 10 years or Master’s degree in related field with 8 years of previous related experience managing object oriented content management systems required

+ Proven successful project management leadership skills

+ Experience working with label generation platforms (e.g. Loftware Spectrum, enLabel, PrisymID or equivalent platform)

+ Experience managing Component Content Management System (CCMS) (e.g., SDL Knowledge Center) required

+ Experience working with Translation Management System (TMS) (e.g., SDL World Server) preferred

+ Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems

+ Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

+ Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth and breadth of expertise within area of work in the organization

+ Expert understanding of related aspects of labeling processes and/or systems

+ Expert understanding of the structure and function of product labeling

+ Expert understanding of the medical device or pharmaceutical industries and SDL’s Knowledge Center product

+ Expert understanding of DITA architecture and concepts associated with structured content Strict attention to detail
