The Manager, Global Support and SVC Readiness Core Histology is responsible for driving global service readiness and training excellence, across Leica Biosystems’ Core Histology portfolio. As a key leader in service strategy, compliance, and capability development, this position partners cross-functionally to enhance training effectiveness and product support. It’s ideal for a hands-on, people-focused leader who thrives in a dynamic, regulated environment and is passionate about enabling impactful cancer diagnostics.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Product Management and is part of the Core Histology Global Product Management team located in Deer Park, IL and will be ONSITE.

NOTE: This is an ONSITE position. Candidates who are not in the area or not willing or able to relocate to the Deer Park, IL area need not apply.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Provide leadership and day-to-day direction for the Training team, including recruiting, coaching, and developing associates to align skills, capacity, and succession plans with business needs.

+ Lead the team responsible for resolving complex technical issues (Tier 3) escalated by field service teams and subsidiaries, ensuring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and timely resolution

+ Own and maintain training compliance across the global service organization, ensuring timely completion of required training through the Learning Management System (LMS).

+ Establish governance processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure training programs remain current and compliant with FDA, EU MDR/IVDR, and ISO 13485 standards.

+ Support the development and execution of product-specific service strategies, lead service-related projects, and drive continuous improvement in training, escalation processes, and overall service readiness throughout the product lifecycle.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline

+ 5+ years of experience in a related field, such as technical training or service support for medical devices or life science instruments, particularly those involving capital equipment and consumables in a regulated environment.

+ 3+ years of people leadership experience, such as managing, mentoring, training.

+ Knowledge of medical device environments and regulations, such as FDA, IVDR, ISO 13485, etc.

Travel & Motor Vehicle Record Requirements:

+ This position requires up to 25% flying and/or driving travel to support product launches, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration, which may potentially include overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international..

+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Supporting within histology, pathology, or adjacent diagnostic markets, particularly with complex instruments and consumable portfolios.

+ Navigating matrixed global organizations with distributed teams and cross-regional product ownership.

+ Contributing to commercialization strategies that involve KOL engagement, competitive storytelling, or solution-based selling approaches.

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000.00-$160,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
