**What You Will Achieve**

Serves as technical lead for and provides expertise and operational support for Drug Product Operations. Partners with shop floor colleagues and supervision to ensure smooth and efficient production of a diverse mix of products. Assists in equipment troubleshooting activities as needed.

Responsible for technical development of junior colleagues and supporting organization objectives / tech transfer projects.

**How Will You Achieve It**

+ Serves as Subject Matter Expert in the Drug Product area for standard business operations / production.

+ Leads technical improvement projects aimed at defect reduction, improved equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization and acts as a liaison for network benchmarking.

+ Identifies and implements cost savings ideas, specifically efficiency improvements and other projects that increase equipment capacity.

+ Develops and validates manufacturing processes for drug products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to production, from other sites, or within the site.

+ Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables.

+ Investigates deviations that occur on the manufacturing floor. Performs root-cause analysis and identifies appropriate, effective corrective actions. Implements corrective actions in conjunction with the appropriate enabling groups, i.e. engineering, maintenance, quality, validation, environmental health and safety.

+ Leads technical improvement projects aimed at defect reduction, improved equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization.

+ Serves as customer project manager on equipment purchases or improvements; interface closely with engineering to specify user requirements, review and approve drawings, define project scopes.

+ Collaborates with other enabling departments (Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.) to assure initiatives are successful.

+ Provides concise and thorough updates on initiatives to site leadership.

+ Mentor junior level colleagues inside and outside of department.

**Qualifications**

**Must-Have**

+ Applicant must have HS Diploma with ten years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree with eight years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with more than three years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience.

+ Demonstrated ability to contribute to and lead project teams.

+ Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Nice-to-Have**

+ Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.

+ Pharmaceutical experience in Operations, Engineering.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Project management experience.

+ Six Sigma Certification.

**Physical/Mental requirements**

Candidate will be required to gown and execute responsibilities according to departmental procedures.

+ Standing, walking, and sitting.

+ Occasional lifting/lowering up to 55 pounds.

+ Able to wear safety PPE (Hard hat, body harness, face shield).

+ Able to work under clean room (GRADE C/D) environments with appropriate gowning.

**Non-standard work schedule, travel or environment requirements**

+ Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel.

+ This operation will work 24x7x365 covered by three 8-hour shifts: 1st Shift (0600-1400), 2nd Shift (1400-2200), 3rd Shift (2200-0600). Weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required to meet business and customer needs.

+ Work Location Assignment:On Premise.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,800.00 to $151,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
