**In this role, you have the opportunity to**
Lead an Engineering team in activities that support sustaining, development and continuous improvement of world-class manufacturing processes.
**You are responsible for**
+ Driving activities related to sustaining and improving process yield, product design changes, cycle time improvement, cost and safety.
+ Collecting and analyzing factory data in an effort to determine priorities and action plans, based on the results.
+ Supervising, hiring, developing, coaching and evaluating personnel to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department.
+ Managing and deploying the processes and standards with embedded quality into the way of working including: adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory and environmental requirements, as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles and other policies.
+ Supporting the corrective/preventative action process for process capabilities in the factory.
+ Allocating resources to meet project demands, as well as ensuring milestones/timelines are met.
**You are a part of**
The Monitoring and Analytics (MA) & Therapeutic Care business group, within the Connected Care & Health Informatics business cluster. Monitoring Analytics, is a software and solutions business encompassing patient monitoring and its capabilities. Our MA solutions reach more than 370 million people every year. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager in Carlsbad, CA.
**To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree (required) and 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
+ Experience in a Manufacturing, Operations and/or Engineering environment
+ Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA highly preferred)
+ Allocating resources to meet project demands and schedules
+ Experience identifying and executing continuous improvement projects as an engineer or manager
