The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
**We are looking for Physical Chemical Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team! This position will be based at our Roebuck, SC manufacturing plant.**
As a Physical Chemical Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will operate and maintain physical‑chemical wastewater treatment systems, monitor and adjust treatment processes for metal‑bearing waste streams, and perform chemical analyses while maintaining accurate operating and compliance records. You will ensure adherence to all environmental regulations and permits, safely handle concentrated acids, bases, cleaners, oils, and cyanide‑containing wastes, and troubleshoot treatment system issues as they arise. This role also requires following established safety protocols and managing hazardous waste documentation and regulatory reporting to support a safe, compliant operation.
**Shift Hours:** 7PM – 7AM, M-W; with possible Saturday overtime as needed.
**Hourly Rate:** $29.25 – $34.60 + $1.25 Shift Differential
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 3+ years’ experience in industrial wastewater treatment with hazardous materials
+ Current South Carolina LLR Physical/Chemical Wastewater Treatment Operator license in good standing, preference will be given to higher class license holders.
+ Strong knowledge of physical-chemical treatment processes
+ Proficiency in laboratory testing procedures, documentation, and analytical problem-solving
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer – sponsored work authorization
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
+ HAZMAT 24-hour certification
+ Experience with metal finishing waste treatment, hazardous waste management, and environmental regulations
+ Knowledge of SCADA systems and process control
**You will make an impact by** :
+ Having a comprehensive understanding of ion exchange, membrane filtration, chemical precipitation, and oxidation-reduction reactions
+ Monitor and optimize pH adjustment, coagulation/flocculation, clarification systems, and filter press operations
+ Perform treatability studies, jar testing, and chemical dosing calculations plus laboratory analysis on waste
+ Metal precipitation chemistry, neutralization reactions, and cyanide destruction methods streams.
