As part of our Microbiology Operations team, you will play an integral role in developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity in support of US and Japan diagnostic products. This position is part of the Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and is located in West Sacramento. At Microbiology, our vision is to ensure we that every patient has access to right antibiotic at the right time!

This role focuses on supply planning of subassemblies manufactured at the site and works with various partners to support supply with end-user demand. This position analyzes data from the global supply plan against manufacturing capacity to accurately develop a subassembly production plan that Manufacturing can execute. This role works closely with demand planning, supply planning, manufacturing, and procurement team members to balance requirements from partners to ensure alignment with Delivery, Inventory, and Efficiency goals. This position coordinates internal requests for production slots and implementation of engineering changes into production.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Analyze demand signals; identify what needs to be built

+ Analyze manufacturing capacity; determine when items are built

+ Coordinate effectivity of engineering changes

+ Support scheduling of non-routine items (R&D, SeLux, Custom, In-process)

+ Release Work Orders; Publish Manufacturing Schedules

+ Perform Inventory Management – analysis of requirements vs inventory position

+ Support implementation of Oracle Cloud Planning module (Supply) – execution of test scripts; system SuperUser & eBatch records

+ Manage CI funnel – develop planning standard work related to process and system changes

The essential requirements of the role include:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years related industry experience OR Master’s degree with 0-2 years related industry experience. APICS certification strongly preferred.
