**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Performs functions associated with direct labor manufacturing operations a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas Electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies, operation of manufacturing equipment, assists with routine repairing and retesting products.

**Responsibilities**

+ Performs the entire standard and some specialized and complex aspects within area of specialization. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is difficult or complex. At times, this may involve lifting, stacking, or sorting, or require the use of equipment such as material dollies, platforms, forklifts, pallets or other heavy equipment. Occasional heavy lifting may be needed.

+ This position may also be performed in a manufacturing production clean room or semi-clean room environment where fine motor skills and hand finger dexterity, acute vision, color differentiation in the set up and detailed maintenance and operation of laboratory apparatus is needed.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Previous manufacturing experience

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ 1 to 2 years working in a fast-paced production setting

+ Two years Associate Degree in Electronics
