**Position Overview:**

Join
Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, NC, where innovation
meets impact. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring
the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance in our passenger
railcar manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented
professional passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement in a
dynamic, team-driven environment.

**What your day-to-day will look like:**

+ Leads critical non-routinevisual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functionalinspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment,systems, supplies and materials.

+ Works independently to performcomplex and critical inspection processes, requiring special set-ups ofnew or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety ofsources.

+ Trains and/or oversees the workof less experienced inspectors

+ May conduct first articleinspection of parts and assemblies.

+ Prepares, approves inspectionreports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformancestatus, and quantity of material processed.

+ Leads root cause evaluations andcorrective actions utilizing quality tools.

+ Prepares charts and simplestatistical analysis.

+ Coordinates ordering ofconsumables and small tools for department use

+ Ensures assigned areas meet 6Sstandards and submits equipment maintenance requests

+ Works effectively in a Teamenvironment

+ Safety First Approach

+ Understanding of QMS, Microsoft,SAP and ISO standards

+ Well versed in Metrology toolsfor measurements and inspections

+ Must have good handwriting skills

+ Must have the ability to solvecomplex practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variablesin situations where only limited standardizationexists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**To thrive in this role, you have:**

+ HSDiploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement and directly relatedwork experience will also be considered.

+ 2years or more in quality department operations

+ Knowledgeof TEAMS/SharePoint 2013, Teams, SAP and other MS products

+ Knowledgeof document control standards and protocols

+ Knowledgeof prevailing codes (ISO 9001:2015) is preferred.

+ Knowledgeof Rolling Stock and Rolling Stock components is preferred.

+ Strongbackground in use of metrology tooling

+ 5%travel

depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and
