**Raw Materials Supply** **Planning and Buying** **Manager** **(GCF 0** **5** **)**

**Role Summary**

The Raw Materials Planning Manager is responsible for leading the execution of raw material planning and procurement operations to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing supply across the network. Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Supply Planning, this role leads a team of buyers accountable for purchase order (PO) creation and maintenance, invoice processing to ensure timely vendor payment, and master data accuracy.

This leader ensures material availability aligned with production requirements while maintaining data integrity, and strengthening supplier execution performance. The role requires strong operational discipline, cross-functional coordination, and team leadership in a regulated manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Raw Material Planning & Procurement Execution**

+ Lead the planning and execution of raw material purchasing in alignment with production schedules and supply plans.

+ Ensure timely and accurate creation, release, and maintenance of purchase orders.

+ Monitor material coverage, supplier confirmations, and delivery performance.

+ Proactively identify supply risks and drive mitigation strategies in collaboration with GlobalRaw MaterialPlanning,External Supply, and Site Supply Chain.

+ Balance service reliability with inventory targets.

**Purchase Order & Invoice Management**

+ Oversee PO lifecycle management, including changes, cancellations, and reconciliations.

+ Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing to support vendor payment and maintain strong supplier relationships.

+ Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and prevent payment delays.

+ Establish controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.

**Team Leadership & Development**

+ Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers responsible for daily purchasing execution.

+ Establish clear performance expectations and KPIs (service level, PO accuracy, invoice cycle time, data quality).

+ Build team capability in planning systems, procurement processes, and problem-solving.

+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

**Cross-Functional Partnership**

+ Partner closely withGlobal Raw Material Planning,Global Supply Planning, Site Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Strategic Sourcing.

+ Provide material availability visibility and risk insights during monthly planning cycles.

+ Support business continuity planning and material risk mitigation initiatives.

+ Contribute to process standardization and digital transformation efforts across supply chain operations

**Basic Qualifications**

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience

OR

Master’s degree and 6 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience

OR

High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience in raw material planning, procurement, or supply planning within a regulated manufacturing environment (biotech/pharma preferred)

+ Demonstrated people leadership experience

+ Strong ERP system expertise (e.g., SAP, Rapid Response)

+ Experience managing PO lifecycle and invoice resolution processes

+ Knowledge of master data governance principles

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Financial acumen related to working capital and budget management

+ Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization
