**Scientist – Clinical Biomarker Assay Development**


**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you as an integral member of a dynamic group of scientists and platform experts will perform and evaluate clinical biomarker assays employing a variety of platforms to support our drug development efforts.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Employ a wide variety of platforms in our biomarker laboratory to develop and qualify biomarker assays to support various clinical programs and assess soluble biomarkers

+ Choose the most appropriate platform to address biomarker questions by employing innovative approaches

+ Collaborate with scientists representing multiple therapeutic areas and work closely with groups in other functional areas

+ Analyze, interpret, and present data to the partners

+ Work collaboratively with internal and external partners and manage vendors

**Basic Qualifications:**

Doctorate degree


Master’s degree and 4 years of scientific/technical experience


Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of scientific/technical experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Solid understanding of biomarker assay platforms particularly those that are used to assess soluble biomarkers such as ELISA, Luminex, MSD, Simple Plex, and Simoa is required; Basic understanding of quantitative LC/MS and proteomics platforms such as O-Link and SomaLogic is a plus

+ Basic understanding of disease biology and biomarker approaches in multiple therapeutic areas

+ Basic knowledge of working in a regulated environment

+ Experience working in a matrixed environment to implement biomarker assay development and validation employing innovative approaches to support clinical trials

+ Project management skills to meet critical timelines associated with various activities necessary to support biomarker assessment of clinical samples

+ Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting ability and innovative approaches to solve complex questions is highly desirable

+ Ability to multi-task and manage multiple studies, strong verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of motivation, creativity and collaborative qualities

+ Work and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external partners such as CROs and vendors to support outsourced activities

+ Familiarity with processes and factors needed to evaluate, qualify, and manage CROs

+ Experience with complex data analysis and interpretation
