The Senior Counsel APAC Diagnostics Platform is responsible for providing guidance, direction, and assistance in connection with a wide variety of legal, compliance, and business matters for Danaher Diagnostics Operating Companies in APAC.
This position will focus on negotiating, strategizing, reviewing commercial transactions, contracts and other legal arrangements, so the successful applicant will need to demonstrate an ability to assess the needs of the business from a legal and compliance perspective and expertise in drafting and amending legal documents to meet the business need and compliance requirements.
This position reports to the Regional Counsel APAC Diagnostics Platform and is part of the regional legal and compliance team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including commercial contracts, government contracts, distributor agreements, evaluation and sponsorship agreements, standard agreements (e.g., confidentiality, material transfer, professional services, sales), and security agreements, ensuring compliance with customer terms and conditions.
+ Resolve complex legal issues and potential customer disputes through effective negotiation and deep expertise in intricate matters, while collaborating with HR on labor and employment concerns.
+ Provide timely legal and compliance advice and perform substantive legal work requiring advanced knowledge of legal concepts, including analysis, drafting, negotiating, and consulting.
+ Lead and support legal projects and compliance initiatives, including preparing training materials, conducting speak-up investigations, drafting investigation reports, and working with compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks.
+ Develop and deliver legal and compliance communications by preparing presentations and training content for internal associates and business partners.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ A law degree preferably one recognized for graduating top lawyers plus a minimum of eight or more years of PQE in a law firm and/or in-house in multi-national company with regional experience.
+ Experienced with Distributorship contracts and distributors disputes/concerns management from legal perspective.
+ Experienced with anti-corruption, anti-bribery, anti-kickback, anti-competition, and preferably experience from the medical device industry.
+ Ability to apply analytical skills to interpret data and use independent judgment and discretion in developing solutions to address a variety of issues regarding contracts and related problems of moderate scope and complexity
+ Candidates should possess strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, and demonstrate excellent presentation, written and verbal communication abilities, along with solid project management expertise.
