The **Sr.** **Environmental, Health and Safety Manager** for Medtronic’s Eatontown, New Jersey site is responsible for managing the efforts and effectiveness of the environmental, health and safety organization as well as driving the evolution of those efforts within Medtronic and its subsidiaries. The incumbent leads the environmental, health and safety group as a consultative and advisory resource to the Company with regard to regulatory requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), State Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Town of Eatontown, health services, DOT and other applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.

**A Day in the Life**

We offer you a position where you…….

+ Develop and execute strategies to assure effective and sustainable EHS systems, programs and processes for the site.

+ Lead the site EHS function to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and all corporate and site specific departmental policies and procedures, EHS management system and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

+ Advise Sr. Leadership Team on the impact that regulatory requirements mandated by OSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT, Town of Eatontown and other applicable regulatory bodies will have on facility operations.

+ Monitor the EHS compliance calendar to ensure that regulatory, corporate and other commitments are being fulfilled on a timely manner (EHS metrics, audits, inspections, risk assessments, DMRs, onboarding of new employees, on-going EHS training programs of all employees).

+ Develop and maintain strategies and initiatives that are in line with site culture. You also develop, implement and enforce incident prevention and regulatory compliance policies and procedures as required by site specific needs, regulations and corporate requirements.

+ Interface with consultants and legal experts to implement preventive and/or corrective actions to resolve regulatory and other potentially hazardous/unsafe conditions.

+ Assist in the recognition, evaluation and control of hazards (ergonomics, ventilation, noise, light, X-ray, indoor quality air); Assists in coordinating industrial hygiene monitoring activities such as noise and air quality.

+ Drive continuous improvement of safety trends/metrics through data analysis.

+ Support site wide EHS facility compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and ISO), safety policies, and good housekeeping.

+ Manage the Health Services function which includes workers’ compensation claims processing and work-related and non-work-related medical case management, medical emergencies and medical screenings.

+ Interact with Facilities on a wide variety of projects including pollution prevention and control equipment; hazard elimination and mitigation; contractor safety; emergency and natural disaster preparedness programs and planning.

+ Manage the on-going maintenance of the BCM program and embed BCM practices into existing procedures and processes throughout the organization in order to make proactive risk management a part of the organizational culture.

**Must Haves**

·Bachelor’s degree

·7+ years of Environmental, Health Safety experience within a manufacturing environment

·5 + years of managerial experience

·Experience with Environmental reports such as Tier II, Biennial Hazardous Waste, DMR’s, TRI, energy metrics, environmental metrics, environmental permit renewals, and other permit required reporting and documentation. Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. Emergency planning and spill response. RCRA, DOT, IATA and HAZWOPER.

**Nice to Haves**

·Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Management

·Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) strongly desired.
