**ROLE SUMMARY**

The Senior Finance Manager will provide key financial and operational support to the Experience, Strategy & Excellence organization. This role will report to Director of Business Operations and partner with them to manage financial performance for the ESE organization.

The Senior Finance Manager will provide support to key financial analytics and processes (forecasts, operating plan, monthly financial reporting, accruals, reclasses and chargebacks). They will ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial activities. They will monitor, track and proactively report financial performance, identifying variances, opportunities and risks to support overall strategy and investments. In addition, this role will be responsible for the review and strategy for financial processes, in partnership with finance to ensure that processes are streamlined and efficient. Responsibilities include organizational and change management tasks as they relate to portfolio and finance across the Customer Experience (CX), Architecture, Business Process Excellence (BPE), Portfolio, Strategy and Change Enablement teams.

This role will also partner to drive strategic and operational goals as part of the delivery of large, cross-functional programs that support enterprise transformation initiatives.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Prepare and monitor budget, forecasts, and headcount movement across Experience, Strategy & Excellence organization.

+ Prepares monthly financial results, financial projections and analyses for senior management review

+ Ensures quality, accuracy and timeliness of the month-end close, monthly reports, accruals, reclasses, forecasts and the annual budget / operating plan preparation.

+ Provide insightful financial /analytical support for key business decisions.

+ Understand financial processes within Pfizer and Pfizer Digital tools (P3, SAP, Ariba etc).

+ Enable the organization to meet its financial commitments by working with the LT and Finance on programs and strategies.

+ Monitor, track and proactively report financial performance, identify budget challenges, and seek out savings opportunities.

+ Accountability and management of monthly actuals, reconciliation and commentary for entire Experience, Strategy & Excellence budget.

+ Manage the overall financial picture rolling up all areas into one consolidated view highlighting risks and favorability for the Operations Lead.

+ Ownership and accountability of the chargeback process for Customer Experience, Architecture and Business Process Excellence, as appropriate.

+ Leads budget preparation, validate on-going spend, renewals, anticipated spend and increase or growth in demand.

+ Support organization on special projects as required (Chargeback process, Agile, Portfolio Management, and other transformation efforts).

+ Collaborate closely with other team members to establish best practices, and process improvement

+ Partner with operations lead to support operational initiatives, distilling complex topics and strategies into content suitable and targeted to various external and internal stakeholders.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred).

+ 7+ years’ experience in a financially oriented role (budgeting, forecasting, accruals, reclasses, variance resolution.

+ Experience in budgeting, forecasting, accrual, and reclass processes for both US and x-US markets.

+ Strong business and financial acumen and analytical skills with ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers.

+ Experience in managing business relationships.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Highly developed sense of responsibility and discretion.

+ Proven ability to manage to financial goals.

+ Ability to work comfortably with senior colleagues.

+ Advanced experience using Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

+ Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
