We are looking to hire a Senior Manager in Information Systems (IS) to work within the Operations IS (OIS) group and lead the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) IS team. You will support the Process Development (PD) business organization in advancing the development of vital medicines. This position is responsible for providing technology and strategic leadership in PLM, serving as a trusted partner and leader with vision for business clients, and delivering multiple projects advancing Amgen’s strategy effectively bringing to bear PLM as enabling IS technology.
+ Provide leadership in planning, designing, developing and successfully delivering IS projects in PLM to drive encouraged business outcomes
+ You will serve as a domain specialist in PLM, identifying technology solutions to solve business problems, and translate strategic goals to specific projects
+ Leads overall vision and strategy for PLM at Amgen as a strategic capability serving multiple business functions at Amgen
+ Partner with business and IS partners to establish multi-year roadmap to advance strategy and own the delivery towards stated outcomes
+ Lead PLM product teams in solution development, architecture, integrations, and design to meet business needs
+ Maintains “big picture” view of how PLM works within the broader ecosystem of IS technologies including but not limited to enterprise data lake, lab systems, ERP, and Manufacturing Systems
+ Work across business functions to build and maintain a coordinated digitized approach to process development, manufacturing, and quality using PLM to digitize and streamline Amgen’s tech transfer processes
+ Actively recruit, hire, manage, and develop talent for the PLM IS team and build internal expertise and capabilities, reducing reliance on external partners
+ Partner at multiple levels throughout the organization and manage communication and engagement
+ Establishes sustainment and steady state for PLM, including run support, demand intake, and continuous improvement
+ Own and be accountable for the Oracle Agile PLM IS platform including all related IS services
+ Work closely with IS portfolio managers and project controllers to manage all financials related to projects and run support; provide OIS leadership with status updates as needed
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
Master’s degree and 6 of Information Systems experience
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of information systems experience
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
2 plus years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
+ 5 plus years in of experience in Product Lifecycle Management and 10+ years of experience in software development/enterprise platforms, and technology delivery
+ Strong knowledge of standard methodologies in PLM in both Bio-Pharma and other industries
+ We require you to have an expertise in Oracle Agile PLM and other established and emerging PLM players is desired
+ Ability to think strategically about technology and recommend solutions that align with business strategy and achieve the greatest business impact
+ Strong leadership, project management, and promoting new strategies to drive organizational change
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to set the context and present on complex subjects to senior management in a clear and concise manner
+ Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
+ Ability to align multiple partners towards a desired outcome. Operates as an effective facilitator and capable of driving discussions in meeting or workshop settings.
+ Work with IS architects to ensure that all requirements meet objectives and solutions are aligned with strategy
+ Experience working with system integrators and software vendors including evaluation, selection, and ensuring accountability for performance
