The Senior Materials Planner is responsible for analyzing and planning raw material sizing for multiple Value Streams to support customer demand. The Planner is the top-level owner of the PFEP process and ensuring any changes to support demand are made. This role will work closely with all other material team members in the plant to ensure effective tactical material execution along with On Time Delivery to the end customer. The selected candidate is directly involved with overall Inventory Management to support corporate initiatives. This role reports to the Purchasing Manager and is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Analyze PSI inputs (Customer Demand forecast) and determine manufacturing daily run rate by Value Stream.

+ Forecast and plan raw material inventory levels to support the daily manufacturing demand and customer OTD.

+ Communicate with the buying team on demand forecast and material sizing and changes that occur.

+ Act as a champion for the material processes. Drive problem solving at the point of impact, promote cross functional involvement, and effective countermeasure implementation to support process improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include

+ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of general business experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years general business experience or Doctoral degree with 0+ years of experience

+ Strong data analysis skills with ability to communicate to cross functional teams.

+ Strong proficiency with Excel and other data / analytics tools.

+ Strong organizational, communication, and detailed operational process skills.
