**Sr. Technologist(Electrician)**

Install,
troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide array of electrical equipment as
well as participating in system improvement, reliability and/or projects in
compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

**EssentialJob Functions:**

+ **Perform complex electricpreventive maintenance check and repairs on a wide range of equipment to avoidelectrical system downtime while applying knowledge of processes in the use ofequipment to ensure successful outcomes and according to all applicable codesand regulations (e.g NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E Electrical Standard OperatingProcedures). Document all work orders and preventive maintenance in CMMS(Computerized Maintenance Management System).**

+ **Troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical controls,sources and elements, (e.g three phase motors) and equipment.**

+ **Troubleshooting and recommend maintenance to limit downtimeand keep production on schedule based on collaboration with Engineering,including identifying opportunities for modification and makingrecommendations. Check for failures in equipment and perform corrective actionsto affected areas that have down time, including conducting and writing impactassessment reports of incidents and special preventive maintenance.**

+ **Troubleshoot and repair alternate power generators to ensurebackup to main power source.**

+ **Execute preventive and corrective maintenance using infraredtechnology as needed.**

+ Review, follow and perform check list actions for allequipment in compliance with established work instructions and adherence withSOPs, blueprints, and equipment manufacturer manuals; may proposerecommendations for supervisor approval.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities asassigned.

Qualifications:

**Education/Experience:**

+ Completion of electrician apprenticeship.

+ 5 years working as an electrician.

+ Experience as an electrician preferably in a pharmaceuticalor similarly regulated environment, including knowledge and/or ability to:

+ **Read and analyze electrical schematics, drawings, manuals.**

+ **Understand and follow electrical codes and regulations.**

+ **Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems, as well asutilities system operations.**

+ **Read and understand operational manuals and troubleshootingguides in order to correct equipment failures.**

+ **Use, maintain, and store hand and precision tools, shop toolsand electrical equipment.**

**RequiredSkills:**

+ Substantial knowledge of routine preventive maintenance of electricaland utilities equipment.

+ Good computer skills, MS Outlook and CMMS.

+ Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good DocumentationPractices supporting a medical device environment.

+ Good communication, interpersonal, and relationship buildingskills.

+ Able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English.

+ Ability to convey safety instructions to other co-workers andensure they are adhering to them as required.

+ Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Healthand Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to the manufacturing flooroperations and clean room medical device manufacturing.

+ Must be able to work with minimum supervision and with otherdepartments; by following detailed instructions.

+ Work in a team environment, including inter-departmentalteams.

+ Strict attention to detail.
