**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will oversight of Oncology in-line and pipeline products, under the direction of the Oncology MSL TA Lead. Utilizing functional subject matter expertise and product knowledge, the Sr. Manager will closely partner with the Oncology TA lead to advance organizational strategies and goals.

+ Lead and participate in cross-functional team efforts with Oncology products (as designated by respective TA MSL Leads for Oncology), US Medical Teams, Regional MSL Field Directors, Medical Communications, Marketing, and Global Medical Affairs Training and Development.

+ Assist and be a member of the leadership team for the cross TA MSL strategy. May have national product responsibility representing Oncology TA MSLs with cross functional teams

+ Lead cross-departmental team to work with ALIGN and to ensure MSL alignment with other teams.

+ Lead field input team to drive training strategies and obtain resources in collaboration with Medical Affairs Training and Development & Medical Communications teams

+ Assist in providing required reports to US Medical Leads, Field Directors, Brand Directors and MSL Department senior staff documenting quantitative and qualitative metrics.

+ Influence the analysis, design, and construction of implementation plans of overall objectives and long-range goals for the Oncology TA MSL department and pipeline molecules

+ Liaise with Brand Teams and Onc MSL TA Leads to analyze, identify, devise and implement MSL-specific strategies and tactics

+ Liaise with the MSL management team to insure proper development and utilization of the field MSL resources

+ May lead administrative departmental activities such as budgets, resources, and staffing needs for specified products

+ Liaise with cross functional teams to guide MSL support for Real World Evidence and quality improvement opportunities with key customers (e.g., IDNs) and health systems

+ Under direction of MSL TA Lead set strategic role for MSLs at Congresses/Medical Meetings pertinent to identified products and pipeline molecules

+ Conduct briefings for senior management

+ Assist in determining and establishing organizational structures and supervisory relationships to meet future needs

+ May represent the department or Amgen as a primary internal and external contact

+ May assist in the customization of the MSL website to ensure ready access to MSL resources that maximize MSL efficiency

+ Supervise and conduct projects with vendors to develop Opinion Leader (OL) identification lists and to help modify current OL lists.

+ Develop and coach team to meet their goals and development objectives

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience OR

+ Master’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR

+ Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Ph.D, M.D. or Pharm.D., D.O. in a medical field. At least 3 plus years of clinical experience

+ At least 2 years of experience leading/managing project teams Two years proven track record of success in pharmaceutical industry Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Previous clinical experience prior to industry highly preferred
